What We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Email signups: email address, submitted voluntarily through our launch notification form
- Parent/guardian information: name, email address, phone number, digital signature (when our waiver system launches)
- Child information: name and date of birth, submitted by a parent or legal guardian only (when our waiver system launches)
- Contact form submissions: name, email, subject, and message (when our contact form launches)
Why We Collect It
- To notify you when Galaxy Goers opens (email signups)
- To process and store liability waivers as required for facility use
- To respond to inquiries submitted via our contact form
- To verify age eligibility for our play areas
- To manage check-in when your family visits
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors interact with our website. GA4 collects anonymized data including pages visited, time on site, and general geographic region. IP addresses are anonymized by default.
GA4 uses cookies to distinguish unique visitors. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
Cookies
Our site uses the following cookies:
- Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*): used to distinguish unique visitors and track site usage. Expire after 2 years.
- Cloudflare cookies: used for security and performance. See Cloudflare's Cookie Policy.
How We Store It
Your data is stored in Cloudflare D1, a secure database service. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We do not store payment information — all payments are handled by third-party processors.
Who Has Access
Only authorized Galaxy Goers staff can access your data through our admin dashboard, which is protected by Cloudflare Access (email-based authentication).
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Cloudflare: hosting, database, and security
- Google Analytics: website usage analytics (anonymized)
- Resend: transactional email delivery
We do not sell, share, or distribute your personal data to any other third parties.
Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Galaxy Goers does not collect personal information directly from children. All data about children (name and date of birth) is submitted by a parent or legal guardian when signing the liability waiver. This satisfies the parental consent requirements of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Email Communications and Unsubscribe
If you sign up for launch notifications, we will send you a welcome email and a notification when Galaxy Goers opens. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You may unsubscribe at any time, and we will stop sending you emails within 24 hours of your request.
Data Retention
Email signups are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Waiver data is retained for the duration of your family's relationship with Galaxy Goers. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 1 year.
Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing info@galaxygoers.com with "Request Data Deletion" in the subject line. We will process your request within 30 days.
